The City of Fort Lauderdale, LMK Pipe Renewal, LLC and Televach South will be inspecting sewer mains and laterals in the Coral Ridge neighborhood within the following general boundaries:

  • West: US 1 / N. Federal Highway
  • East: Intracoastal Waterway
  • North: NE 29th Street
  • South: NE 22nd Street
Crews will record video within the pipes to document their condition. The information gained through this assessment will be used to schedule future maintenance and rehabilitation activities with the goal of increasing the reliability of the sewer system.

This work is expected to begin on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, and is expected to be completed by June 2024. Work on neighborhood streets will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

  • One southbound lane of US 1 / N. Federal Highway between E. Oakland Park Boulevard and the Middle River may be closed overnight on Sunday through Thursday evenings between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. while crews access the sewer pipe from various manholes within the road.
  • Temporary lane closures are expected along each of the neighborhood streets where pipes are being surveyed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed. Access to driveways will be maintained.
  • Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
Thank you for your patience as we strive to upgrade our wastewater system as quickly as possible.
